KEMPER LAKES GOLF CLUB
For 40 years, Kemper Lakes Golf Club has been recognized as one of the finest pure golf facilities in the country. During that time period, Kemper Lakes has played host to some of the greatest players in the world, including the 1989 PGA Championship, four Grand Slam of Golf events, six Senior PGA Tour events, the US Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship, the USGA Women’s Amateur Championship, 27 consecutive Illinois PGA Match Play Championships, and most recently, the 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Kemper Lakes has consistently been ranked among the best golf courses in the country throughout its storied history. Each hole contains four sets of tee markers (Green, Blue, White, Black). The Stewart Tees (Member tees, a combination of blue and white tee markers, accompanied by a gold tee marker) plays at 6,427 yards with a course rating of 71.8 and a slope of 138. The Green Tees (Championship Tees) measures 7,345 yards with a course rating of 75.4 and a slope of 146.
MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE
Proper golf attire is required for all players. The Club may post specific dress policies from time to time. Proper attire shall mean the following:
Men: Shirts with collars and sleeves, slacks or Bermuda shorts of no more than two inches above the knee are considered appropriate attire. Tank tops, tee shirts, mesh shirts, sweat pants, warm-up suits not intended for golfers, blue jeans, work jeans, swim wear, short shorts, cargo shorts, cut-offs, gym shorts, tennis outfits or other athletic shorts are not permitted on the golf course. Blue jeans and denim will be permitted in the clubhouse, so long as there are no holes, rips or tears.
Women: Dresses, skirts, slacks, mid-length shorts and blouses are considered appropriate attire. Halter tops, tee shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, warm-up suits not intended for golfers, blue jeans, swim wear, tennis dresses, short shorts, or other athletic shorts are not permitted on the golf course. Blue jeans and denim will be permitted in the clubhouse, so long as there are no holes, rips or tears.
Shoes: Appropriate golf shoes are required for all golfers. Football, Soccer or other large knobby spike shoes as well as metal spikes are not allowed. Tennis shoes or other soft sole shoes are subject to the approval of the Golf Professional on duty.
Hats are permitted to be worn inside the Clubhouse. However, hats must be worn forward at all times while on property at Kemper Lakes.
Please pull up to our Bag Drop area located on the South side of the Clubhouse (marked Bag Drop). Let a Bag Attendant know who you are playing with and what time your tee time is. If you have any questions, please call the golf shop at 847-726-5534.
Our driving range, chipping ranges and putting greens are available to guests upon arrival of your round. Please see a member of the golf staff with any questions regarding the driving range.
Cell phone usage is allowed in the Clubhouse and on the golf course. We do ask that you use your “3 feet” voice as to not disturb those around you.
Kemper Lakes Golf Club is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted inside the Clubhouse, nor within 15 feet of any exterior door or window. Please dispose of cigar and cigarette butts in a trash can while on the golf course.
Locker Rooms are located on the lower level of the Clubhouse. If you wish to use a locker for the day, please alert a member of the golf staff for availability. Lockers may not be available.

From Chicago, take 90 West to 294 North, exit Half Day Rd go west, turn right on Old McHenry & left into entrance. Approximately 45 minutes from Chicago.
